☾ There’s an innocence in the way dogs play ✰

We were out the entire day and Poppy was already in her crate by the time we got back :) Best friend and i were bushed from the heat and from all the walking today. The moment we walked into the house, we headed for the couch and just crashed. Not really :D. We sat down and got ourselves a drink to cool off. :) Meanwhile… Popcorn was working really hard to get our attention. She was skipping and hopping about in her crate, whining away, and bobbing up and down to get a peek at us. teehee. Yes baby, i hear (and see) you. ♥ Hold on okay…
10 minutes later Poppy was on my lap playing with the handle of her hairbrush :D She did the same two feet standing stance as last night as she tried to reach for the handle. :) At some point, she rested her back against my lap, with her belly up, and was swiping the brush with both paws. I felt the warmest tingling feeling of love rush through me as this all happened. Poppy was just one inch away from my face, fascinated by a brush handle, and wanting a piece of it. :} i was beaming away just watching :) ♥ Maybe it was her innocence that got to me. :) I think it really did :)
Then i laid on the ground beside her and i guess i fell asleep soon after. :) This was what best friend saw when she came downstairs :)
Poppy was resting beside me :) It felt really nice to have her by my side :)
Silly, but i think that she was protecting me.

:P Hey Kroten! Did you get to sleep with Mommy that night? :) The way i see it, when there’s love, nothing else matters! :D Maybe mom can place you in your home and place it by the bed! :)
Hear hear! Nothing else matter! I often slept on her belly, hand and legs ;)
Tsktsk Kroten! Is hear hear the way turtles call? :P awwww it’s so sweet! Mom never had a turtle for a companion or a best friend before :)
